Our changing relationship with physical objects containing personal memories – photographs, diaries, letters etc – and their gradual replacement with digital counterparts is the theme of a new show that opens this Wednesday at the Design Museum in London. The 15 participating designers (amongst which are big names – Ron Arad, Arik Levy, Maarten Baas or Troika – as well as young designers, such as Hilda Hellström and Hye-Yeon Park) have either created entirely new pieces or selected existing ones, while using crystals as their main medium and conceptually referring to forms that our memories might take in the future. A true sparkling show with some great concepts behind the bling!

Digital Crystal: Swarovski at the Design Museum opens this Wednesday and will run till 13 January 2013.
