Eric Yahnker is an LA-based artist, who spent years working as an illustrator/animator for large production houses, before deciding to put the time and energy that went to his bosses into his own creative input. Loss for South Park and alike, but a big gain for art. With humor, enviable skills and amazing attention for detail, he now mixes topics from pop culture and politics in his graphite and colored pencil drawings. Plus we’re also rather fond of his recent baseballs pieces, signed by Jesus, Abraham Lincoln, and Justin Bieber.
Yahnker’s Party Sub/Sub Party installation, shown @ this year’s Armory Show in the Ambach & Rice gallery booth, definitely belonged to the eye catchers of the fair.
