Miranda July‘s 2nd full length movie is just about to be released in the movie theaters. It’s called The Future and tells a story about a young couple who decide to adopt an injured stray cat and the consequences this has on their lives. The cat (with July’s voiceover) also plays the role of the narrator for the main part of the movie.
Miranda July is a multimedia artist known especially for her interactive sculptures which she exhibited during the last Venice Biennale (2009) and later on at the Union Park in NY. She has also written several books and short films. Her first full length film, Me and You and everyone We Know, won a prijs for the best debut in Cannes in 2005.
