Frieze is barely finished & art fans have just had time enough to hop on Eurostar to Paris for another contemporary art Eldorado.

Fiac 2011 opened its doors to public yesterday at the Grand Palais in Paris, bringing together modern and contemporary art galleries as well as the design sector. We gonna miss it this time, but will curiously follow both the financial and the critical reviews. Will it be on the conservative site, as Frieze or will the Parisian galleries be more punky than the London ones? The latter might actually be the case, when we browse throughout the first Artinfo report.
Fiac is accompanied by smaller satellite fairs such as Slick 11 (conveniently taking place @ the Esplanade of Palais de Tokyo), Cutlog or the Chic Art Fair.
If you’re going, you might wanna try to squeeze in couple of extra shows, such as Cyprien Gaillard @ Centre Pompidou, Olaf Breuning @ Palais de Tokyo, or the exhibition @ Fondation Cartier, bringing together art & mathematics. Finally, galerie Chantal Crousel shows Thomas Hirschhorn & Wolfgang Tillmans at its 2 locations. Amusez-vous!
